Shoes Galore

I went to Bangsar Village 2 with a few of my friends yesterday.
We had tea at this cafe right in front of Zara. They served their tea in cute English tea cups. I also had their toasted Mozarella Ham sandwich (i had it with honey mustard), and it was really good.

Before adjourning to Starbucks, I decided to peek into Vincci+ and Aldo to see if there's something I like. I have this craze for shoes this month, I've already gotten myself 4 pairs in Tangs & Metrojaya earlier this month... and there I saw it in Aldo, the black heels I couldn't take my eyes off. But the SA told me they didn't have it in my size anymore. Just my luck.
But I told myself that I would wake up early the next morning just to check out the store in Pyramid, just in case they had it there.

And I'm back from Sunway Pyramid, and guess what, I didn't get the particular shoe, but I got 3 other pairs instead!

Black is the Way to Go

I've finally gotten myself a TV!
I decided on a Sharp Aquos 37" widescreen LCD TV after reading review after review and consulting a number of people who knows about plasmas and LCDs like the back of their hand.
The Aquos that I saw in the showroom came in red, white and of course, the classic black panel.

And the one that fits perfectly to my needs and liking, and of course my budget too, is this little baby!

Now I can watch my favorite TV shows in the comfort of my own room.

My little e-store

I've just updated some new stuff in my e-store.

Did I tell you I had one? it's nothing big actually, just something I do in my free time. Currently, I have some items from Victoria's Secret (I simply love their body mists to bits!), and a few items brought in from Australia. These includes fashion pieces for women and the their little kiddos too.
Yeay!

There's still more to come, do drop by my e-store whenever you feel like doing a little shopping.

For a Christmas present maybe? :)

Macy

This is my favorite corner (well, it's not really a corner actually) of my room. This was the single seater I got myself at Macy's last month or was it October? This piece I got together with my TV cabinet, which I'm not gonna show now, since I haven't gotten myself a TV yet. My curtains are from Macy too. I think their stuff are reasonably prices and are actually quite nice.
But my favorite store is still Harvey Norman. I got my other stuff for my bedroom here - my bed and bedside tables. If you're into modern contemporary, you can find loads of nice stuff here.

The other thing I need to add in my bedroom (besides a TV) is some art work. I'm thinking of maybe 3 small dark framed ones above my headboard. I haven't made up my mind what yet. But I'm thinking probably flowers.

Maybe calla lilies.

Pinky Winky

This bag is so pretty! It's been quite a while since I got myself a pink bag. The last time was an Esprit, I think, which I got for really cheap in Melbourne some time ago.

I love handbags and I'm sure every female I know does.
Shall I? Shall I not?

Iressistable.. but I know I can't be spending on bags now. I'm suppose to save up for a TV!

It's not really new, and I'm pretty sure they don't have it in stores anymore.

But on the bright side, my $$$ is saved this time. Pheww.

Hormones

It's a bloody Monday again.

My weekend was filled with emotions this time.

Yes, it is the 3 letter acronym - PMS.

I got angry because of way too many things and I end up crying to my aunty last Saturday. She called to discuss some personal stuff, and I just let it out to her. I think that was the first time she has heard me cry.

Blame it on the hormones.

But all was well towards the end of the day, and the rest of the weekend, although I was trying hard to pretend the menstrual cramps weren't there.

Missing

I can't seem to find my Oscar de la Renta sunglasses.
I like it because the lense is a a dark shade of maroon, not the typical brown or black I normally buy.
It's been quite some time since I last wore it and I hope it's in the house, somewhere.

zZz

I've got alot of pending stuff to do which I'm suppose to submit to my boss before the end of the week, but I'm so lazy and sleepy.
I've been surfing the net for the last one hour and I still am.
I gotta stop. And I'm gonna do so as soon as I publish this post.
Good thing I can't log in to Faceboook from the office. But I've still got my Blackberry to do that. :p

Last night, I slept in front of the TV while watching Desperate Housewives. Waking up at 6 a.m. for the last few days is really taking its toll. I need more sleep.

What I'm wishing for at this moment: Working from home in my PJs.

The Day I Detest Most

10th November 2008, Monday.
MONDAY.
Urghh.

The weekend passed so fast!
I was around Bangsar, Hartamas, Kota Damansara & Mont Kiara meeting up with a couple of friends including Ms. Elles Jr.
What a cutie!

I managed to catched 007 - Quantum of Solace with him. What a disappointment!! In my opinion, Casino Royale is so much better.
There were a few boring parts in the movie and some scenes weren't that impressive. Although I did like the scene in the theatre. That was cool.

My rating: 6 out of 10.

Sorry Daniel Craig, you didn't impress me that much as you did the last time.

Who to Trust?

As we all can see today, it is a dog-eat-dog world out there.
There are times when you thought that you could trust someone but at the end of the day, that same person is the one that hurts you most.

And I've been through that before and quite frankly, since then, I've never really trusted anyone 100%.
I think this way keeps us sane anyway, since if anything were to happen we would still be able to get a grip on our ownself.

I have just gotten to know about someone dear to me who has a so called 'close' colleague, but this person has spread bad things about him to others and I got to know about it today.
This was what happenned maybe a year and a half ago, and I knew the other side of the story since then.

I might be biase since I'm close to that someone. But it does hurt to know if whatever was said was true and were the missing pieces that I wasn't told 1 1/2 years ago.

But the fact that this guy could backstab his friend really made me think.

Are our friends really the people we can trust?

Or does everyone have a personal agenda?

And if that's the case, who can we really count on at the end of the day?

Histrionic Am I?

People with histrionic personality disorder are constant attention seekers. They need to be the center of attention all the time, often interrupting others in order to dominate the conversation. They use grandiose language to discribe everyday events and seek constant praise. They may dress provacatively or exaggerate illnesses in order to gain attention. Histrionics also tend to exaggerate friendships and relationships, believing that everyone loves them. They are often manipulative.

This was my results after taking this short quiz online.

Gloomy Tuesday

There's so many thoughts running in my mind right now.

And one of them is:

Am I being emotional if that someone makes other plans for dinner without asking me first, when he knows that we're seeing each other after work?

Fact 1: You've been pretty insensitive. And I put up with you.
And since it hasn't been a good day for me, you just made it worst, when I thought you could make my day.
Fact 2: I know you've spent 13 hours working on your Board Papers since 11 p.m. last night and you didn't get any sleep.
Fact 3: I know I have my faults every now and then, and you've tolerated my tantrums and what nots most of the time, but I just wished today would end up different than this.

I might be seen as inconsiderate since you're meeting up with your brother, but why can't you just do it tomorrow?

Anyway, I'm still seeing you in a while. Let's just wait and see.

I'm overacting, I know.

I need a Wendy's cheeseburger.

Relax and Unwind

I shall not shop for the next few months.
And I'm praying hard that money will grow on trees one day.
God, please make my wish come true.

I got myself 2 shirts and one halter top at A|X.
Tonight, my friends and I are hanging out and I might just wear my new top.

I'm not gonna dress as anything this Halloween.
Actually, the last time I had a costume was when I was 10, and at that time I was staying in Convent Station, NJ.
I turned up that year as a devil. My friends & I had a great time trick-or-treating around the area.
I think I still have the photo of me in that costume somewhere.
That year, when a bunch of guys came trick-or-treating at my place, my crush was also there. *blush*
Good ol' days. Oh how I miss them.

Happy Halloween!

Baby Girl

I received two smses from the new mommy and also another friend saying than Missy Elles has just delivered.

And it's a girl.

And you know what's weird? I feel like I wanna be a mommy too. I know I'm not even married yet, but the thought of being a mommy seems nice.

Pink frocks with matching socks and shoes and not to forget flowered hairclips. I know I'm gonna go crazy with the pretty stuff you can get for baby girls.

Congratulations again to the new mom & dad :)

On a different note, Missy Fawa is having trouble with her pregnancy. And her husband hasn't been very supportive throughout this crucial period.
I haven't gotten the chance to talk to her yet though, a mutual friend of ours told me she's not doing well and would need all the friends in the world to give her support. The last email I got from Missy Fawa was last Wednesday, telling me about her pregnancy and I knew I had to help in any way I can.

Since Missy Fawa got married, she has been busy with work and mending the house with 3 kids (she married a guy who has 3 kids from his previous marriage).
Now she is 4 months pregnant and the baby isn't doing very well. The baby's heartbeat is very weak and he or she is physically very small.

I've been trying to call her last weekend but she did not answer any of my calls. She texted me last night though, saying that she was discharged from the hospital on Saturday and that she has lots to update me. I answered her sms telling her that we should do lunch one of these days but she didn't reply.
She's probably not ready to tell me everything yet or for whatever personal reasons she might have, but I really hope she's handling this situation well.

I want to call her again. But I'm not sure whether it is the best thing to do now, since I don't want to be pushing it too much.

Little Bo Peep

I had a great weekend.

Last weekend I was in and out of the house the whole time visiting friends and family in Gombak, Bangi, Bukit Jelutong, and PJ. I missed my uncle's open house in Duta Heights though.......

I had another gathering at home for the family. We had nasik tomato and kuew teow goreng and this time round we chose to have blueberry cheese cake.

And the other great thing is that I got myself a few pieces of furniture and fittings from Macy.

... and that's why I missed my uncle's open house!

I got myself a TV cabinet that I've been searching high and low for and finally, I found one that I actually like and also goes well with the existing pieces I have in my bedroom.
And I also got a single seater fabric sofa for my bedroom too. Yeay.

Other items I bought:
1. A sheep skin rug
2. 2 table lamps
3. A table runner
4. Some bathroom accessories
5. Cushions

I can't wait for my new furniture to arrive on Thursday.

Now I can start scouting around for a 32' inch LCD TV :)

S.e.c.r.e.t

I got a a book.
But not the book I wanted. They didn't have 'My Best Friend's Girl' in stock at MPH Bangsar Village. So I decided to get Sophie Kinsella's 'Can you Keep a Secret?' instead.
Believe it or not, this will be my first time reading her book, if I finish it that is.

I still want the book by Koomson. And this time I'm just gonna get it at MPH Online to save me another trip to the bookstore. :)

Weekend here I come

Yes.
The day has finally arrived.
Good ol' Friday.
But now that I'm feeling a little under the weather, my plans might just change. Urghh.
I hope not though.

My weekend plans:

2 open houses in PJ and Tmn Melewar and a wedding reception in Flamingo on Saturday.
An open house in Duta Heights and a kenduri doa selamat in Bangi on Sunday. Also planning to check out Solaris.
A movie and just chillin' on Monday. I haven't gotten the chance to watch Max Payne yet. Mark Walberg - Grrrr...

Sax & The City

I had a good time last night. A relative of mine had an open house. The house was filled with good food, good music, and of course good company. A trio who played the sax, cello and guitar were around to entertain us the whole night. I didn't stay long though, they were going to have a karaoke session a bit later, but I had a really long day at work plus I wasn't feeling very well. I think I'm gonna catch a cold. I'm getting all the symptoms already. Double dose of vitamin C, here I come.

I also got to meet Tan Sri SY, the owner of Concorde Hotel. He's very jovial. And to think that he used to date my aunt Jen those days, I think they would look kinda cute together. But if that was the case, I wouldn't have my second cousin Elis around :)

Today, I am here at the office as I have an important meeting this afternoon and I have to finish up a Board paper that needs to be submitted before the end of the week. And to add to that, my boss wants me to be part of a very important team, which he sort of hinted that I would need to work my ass off this coming 2 weeks. Wish me luck people. But don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for this opportunity, since it's not offered to just anyone.

October 22, 2008

Urghhh

The frustration is killing me.

I hate it so much when I try to talk to someone, and that person doesn't seem bothered to listen.

And at this point of time, I am really angry with you.

If its so hard for you to communicate with me, then just go away, and don't even bother to be nice to me after this.

I don't care.

Dorothy K.

I feel like getting my hands on Dorothy Koomson's "My Best Friend's Girl".
I haven't read any of her books yet. In fact, I'm not an avid reader to start of with. But after reading someone's blog, this particular book has just caught my interest.

Megatrends

I'm back in the office.
I attended the Khazanah Megatrends held at Mandarin Oriental yesterday. It's suppose to be a 2-day event, but I had to come to the office to tend to a few urgent things that could not wait.

The forum was very good and informative. I enjoyed the topics that were discussed particularly the one on the current economic meltdown. My two favorite speakers yesterday were Dato' Sri Idris Jala, CEO of MAS and Dr. Stephen Roach, Chairman of Morgan Stanley Asia.

I also got to know a few new people, and amongst them were VPs and CFOs of Khazanah and its subsidiaries. I went alone to this event and am glad I got to widen my connections with these key potential people.

Au Revoir

He's 17 hours away from his other home as I am typing now.
I'm crossing my fingers that he'll be back for a business meeting end of the year, hopefully.
He has gotten a big promotion recently and I'm so proud of him. I knew he always had it in him to succeed in his career :)

I'm in the middle of making a list of some things I need to buy for a small Raya gathering I'm organizing for my close friends. I need to get the things before 3 p.m. today, as I'm heading to Saujana Damansara for another friend's open house. I was quite close to this particular friend of mine, but we kinda drifted apart after she got married.
Guess everyone has different priorities now, which I totally understand.

That's just how life is...

Hello Weekend!

Yes.
It's Friday! And here I am in the office literally jumping for joy. It's been a good week for me.

1. My colleague is back from her maternity leave, so I can hand over the work I've been doing for the last 2 months to the rightful owner.
2. I got to spend some quality time with Mr. H before he leaves.
3. My sister has confirmed her ticket back home. She'll be back end of November for the summer (Australia's summer that is).
4. I received a call from a very good friend who's currently working in Chicago. I was so glad to hear from her since we don't get to talk to each other that often nowdays.
5. It's 10:48 a.m. and I've got another 6 hours to go.

October 16, 2008

Overdose of Calamari

For the last 3 meals I had(excluding today's breakfast, that is), I didn't fail to include fried calamari a.k.a sotong goreng tepung in the menu.
Dinner on Tuesday at Italiannies, The Curve;
Lunch at Santai TTDI &
Dinner at Muhibbah TTDI yesterday.
Between lunch and dinner yesterday, Mr. H and I went to OU to catch 'House Bunny'. Quite entertaining for a dumb blonde movie. While waiting for the 6:45 p.m. show, we had some Big Apple donuts to fill our not so hungry tummies and later did some reading and book shopping at MPH. I also tried to look for this particular black flats I like at Nose, but they were all sold out.

It was nice to spend the last few days with Mr. H before he heads back to to the States. I'm gonna miss him.

This is Tyson's Corner, a mall we frequently visited since it's just 10 minutes from his house. Oh how I miss shopping in the States. You can never get enough of it.

And Johnny Rockets - my favorite place to have cheeseburgers. I had this thing for cheeseburgers during my last trip. Mr. H and AA were dragged by me for cheeseburgers every now and then. I enjoyed the food there too, Subway's pasrami sandwich (they don't have it here),funnel cakes, French food, Chinese,Thai, Vietnamese and many more and not to forget Malaysian too. I think I went to over 5 different Malaysian restaurants in the East Coast while we travelled.

The 3 things I love in life - shopping and food! And of course, Mr. H's company :)

Aphrodite

The outing with my girlfriends yesterday was great.

We had lunch at Tony Roma's and then catched the 5:20 show for Mamma Mia.
I enjoyed the movie tremendously. Definitely entertaining. And seeing Pierce Brosnan in a 'non-Bond' way, is not something you want to miss. Being a fan of Abba (I've never failed to sing 'Dancing Queen' on the rare occasions of me turning up at karaoke sessions), I would rate the movie 7.5 out of 10.
And Colin Firth, I like.

TGIF

I'm new at this blogging thing, but I find it rather addictive.
Although I haven't got much to write, I thought of just penning down a few things that are on my mind now.

1. My skin feels rather tight and it kinda stings after yesterday's treatment. Mr. H was very nice enough to accompany me for 3 hours, good thing the clinic is a Streamyx Hot Spot, so he could work while waiting :)
2. I'm so glad that it's Friiidayyyyyy!
3. I'm planning to watch Mamma Mia with my girlfriends on Sunday, I haven't met them since Raya, so that is something I'm looking forward to.
4. I love this song.

Growl

What I had today:
Breakfast - A tuna sandwich & Milo
Lunch - 4 pieces of nugget & hot ginger tea
Dinner - Rice and a few dishes & warm water

And of course, I have started to take my probiotics again, after stopping for about 6 months. So now, i take more than 7 capsules a day as my daily supplement. Oh wait, some of them I take more than once a day, so that should total up to about 10.

Living healthy - well, I gotta start somewhere. And yes, I'm planning to start doing my yoga again. Next month, maybe.

October 8, 2008

Zit Attack

Since a couple of months ago, around April to be exact, I've been getting zits every other day. And right after my trip to the States in May, I came back with more spots! I'm thinking it had alot to do with the weather too, since I was in NY then DC which was quite chilly and then down south to Florida, which was very hot!
I tried to used an old remedy recommended by my mom - the calamine lotion. It did dry up my pimples, but it didn't stop the others from appearing.
So after a month, I decided to visit the skin doctor. Not a dermatologist this time, but an anaesthetist and anti-ageing consultant, who knows a great deal about skin disorders and also works magic to make his patients more youthful. A number of well known celebs have been loyal patients to my doctor, who has a clinic just 10 minutes from Bangsar.
I've had 4 treatments so far, all totalling to RM1750. Although it's quite a big amount for me, I'm quite satisfied with the results. My acne has lessen and my skin is so much smoother. All I need now is a few more sessions to clear up the hyperpigmentation due to all that acne I had a few months back.

Wish me luck.

C'est La Vie

I've got a pile of work to do.
My boss constantly calls me to update him on this and that.
And not only that, as I am involved in another special project with another guy, and I have to make sure that it gets moving too.

I wish I was at home, snuggling my pillows under the covers. I so wanna be a tai-tai right now. Always worry and stress-free.
Anyone there who can make this happen for me?
He is coming to KL later. This caught me by surprise since he's back in his hometown taking care of his dad who is currently recovering from a stroke.
Quite frankly, I'm not too excited to see him. Its not that I don't want to see him, but I think at this point of time, I don't really mind if he's not around. I'm not sure whether it's just a spur of the moment feeling, or that I just have lost interest.

Me - Fickle as always.

Monday Blues

Here I am writing again after 9 days off from work.

Bliss.

It was nice to celebrate Eid with the family. Travelled more than 1000 kilometres to visit family and friends across Malaysia. Well not quite the whole of Malaysia, just Pahang and N.Sembilan, where my grandparents reside.
The food was great, I ate more than 5 times a day! And I'm still working really hard to put on the extra kilos! My size 26 jeans is still very loose. Hopefully by the end of the month, I'll get to put on 2 kilos, at least!

First Kiss

I haven't been writing for sometime. In fact, probably more than 2 years already. I used to have a blog, which I start in early 2006. This was where I poured my thoughts and feelings when I didn't feel like sharing it with anyone. But the blog brought to many sorrows so here I am again trying to start fresh.

So I hope this blog will now be my shoulder to cry on from now on.

Mmuahh
